A sustainably produced wooden toothbrush, available in red, blue and orange.
The brush itself is made from FSC certified European beech wood. The bristles are made from castor oil, are made in the EU and have REACH, LFBG and food-contact safety certificates.
Castor oil bristles are a bioplastic, but it is not made with fossil fuels as typical plastic is. We will continue to look for 100% plastic free, ethical toothbrushes that are also effective. As the rest of the brush is plastic free, it is still much more sustainable than any mainstream toothbrush.
Vegan.
Brush care: Use minimum pressure, do not chew or bite. Rinse toothbrush before and after use, air dry. Rinsing the brush thoroughly then tapping it against your hand to remove excess water will improve performance & lifespan. Replace every 6-8 weeks or earlier if worn.
Materials: Beech wood toothbrush, castor oil bristles.
Packaging and disposal: Packaging recyclable/compostable kraft paper box. Toothbrush handle can be home composted but please snap off the head before doing so. Once the head is snapped off, the toothbrush handle can go in with green garden waste, into wood recycling or be reused as a plant marker or similar.
The bristles can be extracted for recycling if your local centres takes it or through Terracycle.
